The search for Douglas Wells has ended in tragedy.
On Thursday evening, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary deployed BOISAR to assist in locating Douglas Wells, who was last seen at a cabin on Frenchman’s Pond near Cox’s Cove. Search teams worked late into Thursday night and continued their efforts throughout Friday and Saturday.
With the assistance of Deer Lake Regional Search and Rescue and the use of specialized resources, the search concluded late Saturday afternoon with the recovery of Mr. Wells, who was tragically located deceased.
