December 3rd was International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and this year’s theme is “Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress.” NL’s Social Supports and Well-Being Minister is also responsible for the Status of Persons with Disabilities. Yesterday, Premier Tony Wakeham released a “unified mandate letter for his entire team of Ministers outlining expectations and priorities, saying “these expectations will ensure better healthcare, lower taxes, and safer communities – for all of us.”
