Police say Batt killed a pedestrian after hitting him with his vehicle early Monday morning in Curling. The 91-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A Benoit’s Cove man charged with impaired driving causing death has been released from custody on $1,000 bail. 37 year-old Matthew Todd Batt appeared in court for a bail hearing yesterday and is due back in court October 14.
