It looks like Marble Mountain will celebrate opening day on January 8th. Manager Richard Cormier says the top of the mountain is looking great with plenty of natural snow, despite an electrical issue over Christmas that slowed snowmaking operations. Snow guns are now midway down the mountain, laying down man-made snow so groomer runs are in top shape before opening day. Cormier says it’s looking more like a traditional winter on the hill and they are ahead of schedule compared to the last three seasons.
Early bird pricing ends tomorrow (dec 31) and Cormier says so far, about 40 percent of season holders are new and people who haven’t been there for the past few years. He says it’s the lowest price in a long time at the resort, designed to get people out enjoying the west coast winter with an affordable option.
