Eddie Joyce says the former hospital is still operational with administration, laundry services, and nurses units
Bay of Islands MHA Eddie Joyce says family members are telling him their loved ones are not comfortable with sharing a room with another patient at the Corner Brook Long Term care Centre. On Monday, government announced they would be adding 15 beds there by doubling up on room occupancy. Joyce says people are concerned since they don’t think this is appropriate for their family members and they feel it is an invasion of their privacy. Joyce hopes government comes up with better options, like the former hospital. He says those rooms were never designed to be for two patients. Joyce says the former hospital is still operational with administration, laundry services, and nurses units. He says all that’s needed there is proper staffing.
