This composer, arranger, producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist was only nine years old when he lost his eyesight.
He’s a born musician with an extraordinary journey spanning over 3 decades, and now, a heartfelt Christmas song he wrote 15 years ago has been produced. Jim Fidler was a guest on Bayfm’s Sundays Scoffs and Scuffs. This composer, arranger, producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist was only nine years old when he lost his eyesight. That didn’t stop him from pursuing his passion at the School for the Blind in Halifax, delving into classical piano and musical theory. Fiddler says he had a demo back then when he wrote “A Christmas Song (First Dance of the New Year)” and now the song is available, just in time for the holidays.
