Investigation underway after an active police incident has ended in Portland Creek

    RCMP issued an advisory shortly after 6:30 this morning and people were asked to stay away from the area.

    An active police incident on the Northern Peninsula has ended but people in Portland Creek can still expect to see an increased police presence. RCMP issued an advisory shortly after 6:30 this morning and people were asked to stay away from the area. There was no risk to public safety and it concluded at 9:15. A police investigation is ongoing.
