    Income Support cheques are waiting to be picked up for clients without direct deposit

    This includes offices on Union Street in Corner Brook, Farm Road in Deer Lake, and Carolina Avenue in Stephenville.

    Although 98% of income support clients get payments through direct deposit, those who do not have until the end of the day to pick their cheques up at locations throughout this province. This includes offices on Union Street in Corner Brook, Farm Road in Deer Lake, and Carolina Avenue in Stephenville. Any unclaimed cheques after today will be placed in the mail. Due to rotating mail strikes, there may be future delays and clients are being asked to sign up for direct deposit to avoid this.
