Lynn House of Western Regional Waste Management says this is not a free dump day but an awareness day for things you wouldn’t normally throw in the trash.

There will be a Household Hazardous Waste Day at Wildcove this weekend. It will take place from 9-4 p.m. Lynn House of Western Regional Waste Management says this is not a free dump day but an awareness day for things you wouldn’t normally throw in the trash. Corner Brook residents can drop off household hazardous waste free of charge any time the site is open. Meanwhile, House has been getting a lot of questions about bubble wrap and styrofoam, which goes in the clear garbage bag. She says some larger centres are able to recycle styrofoam. Although bubble wrap is a soft plastic it can get caught up in machinery so it does not go in a blue bag to be recycled. House says tupperware or reusable containers are also not recyclable.
