The event is on the go now until 3 p.m. at the office at RCMP headquarters at 78 Mt. Bernard Avenue.
The RCMP is celebrating 150 years of service and would like to invite you to come out and meet some members of the Corner Brook detachment. The event is on the go now until 3 p.m. at the office at 78 Mt. Bernard Avenue. Drop by for a hamburger, hot dog, music, prize draws, and yes, there will be cake. RCMP stations throughout the province will be holding similar events in the communities they serve. The RCMP national website states, “Canada's national police service dates back to 1873. From the role of women and Indigenous peoples, to our uniform and our military service, our history is Canada's history. Our history has included some difficult chapters. But we continue on the path to becoming a more modern, diverse, inclusive and trusted RCMP.”
