A trio at Grenfell Campus is working on boosting outreach with residents from Corner Brook and area down to the Port au Port Peninsula. MA student Robyn Jackson is running a survey on community responses to the proposed wind/hydrogen developments on the west coast. Jackson, along with her assistant professor , Camille Dallaire, was in Codroy Valley recently talking with residents at the Folk Festival. Dallaire says the aim is to listen to residents about what they value in their communities and projects like this can be challenging because it’s controversial. She says the group is also looking at other places in the world where there have been similar projects and find best practices. The group will be collecting survey results until the end of August.
