Government is reminding residents of a program that provides funding for training. The Working Opportunities Program is accepting candidates who are interested in beginning studies this September. The program provides financial support for non-EI eligible individuals, including those receiving Income Support, to pursue full-time post-secondary training in Newfoundland and Labrador. It offers supports that may include tuition and training costs, a living allowance and child care. Eligible training must be between 12 weeks and three years in length at a public or private training institution in NL.

To learn more about the Working Opportunities Program, click here, or visit one of our 19 Employment Centres throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Individuals ready to get started now can begin by filling out a Request for Service form.
