There has been so much interest shown for the Green Transition Fund that government is launching a second call for expressions of interest. With approximately $2.1 million in funding awarded to date, 11 projects have been approved and 18 are currently under assessment. For the 29 proposals received, the total project value was $28.2 million with a Green Transition Fund request totaling $9.8 million. This funding has leveraged significant investment from the Federal Government and private sources. The department previously announced projects for the Larch Grove Farm Ltd in Cormack and the St. John’s International Airport Authority. Applicants have until July 12th to apply and details can be found on the Green Transition Fund Program webpage.
