Just over $208K is going towards the development of an open and accessible training to equip restaurant staff with the tools to provide exemplary service.
Jobs, Immigration and Growth Minister Gerry Byrne announced a small investment yesterday that he says can lead to big dividends. Just over $208K is going towards the development of an open and accessible training to equip restaurant staff with the tools to provide exemplary service. Byrne says restaurants and the food industry are an essential component to creating that hospitality that everyone expects. He says the objective is never to be just good enough. The Customer Journey – Training Program for Newfoundland and Labrador Food and Beverage Sector will be available at no cost to all food and beverage operators in the province by June 10th. Co-developed by restaurant owner Jeremy Bonia, he says most large corporations have this type of training but for some it can be very expensive. The food service sector in Newfoundland and Labrador employs approximately 15,000 people.
Food and beverage operators interested in registering for the training program can contact morethanservicenl@gmail.com for more information.
