Government announces $187,000 in funding for the Conservation Corps NL

    Each summer the corps employs approximately 100 youth across all regions of the province.

    Environment Minister Bernard Davis has announced $187,000 in funding for the Conservation Corps NL. Through their flagship Green Team Program, each summer the corps employs approximately 100 youth across all regions of the province. Green Teams conduct events, presentations and hands-on learning opportunities in their communities with a goal of fostering environmental and cultural literacy, and an emphasis on enhancing youth participation and interest in climate change.
