Industry Minister Andrew Parsons says the Newfoundland T’Railway Council and Tourism Southwest Inc. will carry out infrastructure improvements along a 120-kilometre stretch of the T’Railway from Corner Brook to Port aux Basques.

Industry Minister Andrew Parsons says he sees people coming off the ferry in Port aux Basques on their atv’s ready to go. This week he announced $176,000 to go towards creating more year-round opportunities through two not for profit organizations along the west coast. This is in addition to another $460,000 from ACOA. Parsons says the Newfoundland T’Railway Council and Tourism Southwest Inc. will carry out infrastructure improvements along a 120-kilometre stretch of the T’Railway from Corner Brook to Port aux Basques. Parsons says most of the work is already done. Trans Canada Trail is also contributing $60,000 to the project.
