Four out of six tanks onboard the stranded cargo ship in Lark Harbour has been removed

    172 cargo containers have also been removed so far

    Approximately 70% of all heavy fuel onboard the MSC Baltic III has been removed and transferred to other MSC vessels. The cargo ship ran aground in Cedar Cove near Lark Harbour after losing power on February 15th. Four out of the six main tanks have now been emptied. 172 cargo containers have also been removed so far. Minor oil observations, such as tar stains and small tar balls, have been recorded in Cedar Cove and nearby shorelines.
