First ever Benoits Cove Band Mawiomi to take place July 27th

    Chief Terri Green says it’s the right time for this and they hope it becomes an annual event.

    The Benoits Cove band is hosting their first Mawiomi on July 27th and everyone is invited to this free gathering. It gets underway noon at 103 Hillview Road in the Bay of Islands community. Chief Terri Green says it’s the right time for this and they hope it becomes an annual event. She says it’s a gathering for all people. There will be a cultural showcase, dancers, archery, medicine bag workshop and teachings. A feast will take place at 5 p.m.
