UPDATE: RNC say a fire that destroyed a home and a shed in Frenchman’s Cove was not suspicious in nature. Police were called to the south shore Bay of Islands Community shortly after 7 p.m. When officers arrived on scene at Strickland’s Road, the fire which had started in the shed, had spread to the adjacent home. The Lark Harbour and Mount Moriah fire departments extinguished the fire however, both structures were lost. All occupants of the residence were able to safely exit, without injury.
