Deer Lake RCMP take two impaired rivers off the roads this past weekend

    On Friday, (November 14) around 6:00 p.m, police pulled a vehicle over in St. Judes after noticing erratic driving.

    Deer Lake RCMP nabbed two impaired drivers over the weekend. Both had their licences suspended and vehicles impounded. On Friday, (November 14) around 6:00 p.m, police pulled a vehicle over in St. Judes after noticing erratic driving. The 58-year-old male driver failed two breath tests at the detachment. He is due to appear in court in January. 

    Around 3:30 Sunday, (November 16) afternoon police got a 911 call about a suspected impaired driver on the Trans-Canada Highway near Deer Lake. RCMP stopped the vehicle and the driver was arrested after failing a roadside test. Police found several open and empty liquor containers inside the vehicle.
