During the 2025 season, Newfoundland and Labrador welcomed over 180 cruise ship calls across 24 ports and destinations, including 22 calls to Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, bringing nearly 100,000 passengers and more than 40,000 crew members ashore.
Cruise NL is wrapping up a record-breaking cruise ship season. Managing Director Katelyn Budgell says the 2025 season ran from January 16th through October 22nd and was the longest one yet, partially due to the first ever cruise ship visit to the Port of Corner Brook during the winter. Budgell says 24 ports the province hosted a diverse mix of cruise lines which strengthens the province’s position within global cruise routes. Cruise Newfoundland & Labrador is already seeing confirmed and prospective bookings extending into 2026, 2027, and 2028, reflecting strong confidence from cruise lines in the province’s ports, experiences, and long-term growth potential.
Meanwhile, the Port of Corner Brook issued a news release last week highlighting its longest cruise season to date with 24 ship calls, carrying over 46,000 passengers and crew. Cruise Marketing Coordinator Patti Ricketts says the first ever winter cruise ship visit had been in the works for a few years. She says next year’s cruise ship itinerary should be available online next month and it’s looking to be another busy season.
