This year’s Winter Carnival Ambassadors are Ella Rashleigh and Lily Smallwood.
It’s day 7 for Corner Brook Winter Carnival with lots on the go. The 50th Grenfell Campus Scavenger hunt is on the go all day. There will also be an Open Mic Night at Odin’s Axe, the annual Spelling Bee at Imamaculate Heart of Mary School, A Taste of Italy at St. Michael’s church, a Taste Test Competition on local food at the WesternNL Food hub, Seniors Merchandise Bingo at the Valley Mall, and more on the schedule.
This year’s Winter Carnival Ambassadors are Ella Rashleigh and Lily Smallwood, and they were back in the Bayfm studios this week for a chat with Lenny Benoit. Smallwood says it’s been a busy and fun week so far but she really enjojyed the RNC bowling with Seniors. Rashleigh says she enjoyed the bowling as well but says Family Fun day on Monday was a big hit.
Both teens were also leiflings when they were in elementary school. Smallwood says it’s a different experience as an ambassador when you’re older when you’re not as adorable as you used to be and not as many people ask to get a picture with you. Rashleigh says ambassadors get to go to more events and stay up later. Winter carnival Closing Ceremonies will take place this Sunday.
