Welcome aboard….the Holland America Line cruise ship, the Zuiderdam will be in port for most of the day.  Jackie Chow is the CEO of the Port of Corner Brook. She says the vessel was here last year. “The vessel carries just over 1900  passengers and 840 crew,” says Chow. “She was here last year for 3 calls and is due back July 26th, as well as the next couple of years. We are looking forward to having her in port today.” Chow says the ship is on an itinerary that included stops in Norway, Iceland and Greenland. “The ship is on a 20-day itinerary and left Rotterdam July 2nd and will be carrying on into Charlottetown, Sydney, Halifax into Portland and finally to arrive in Boston,” she says. “When she comes back on the 26th of July it’s a 17-day itinerary so she will have many of the same ports to visit.” The Zuiderdam is due to leave port at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
