With snowfall being a thing in Corner Brook since the start of November, that means snow clearing operations are in full swing. On Monday night, December 15th, the city will bring down a budget that will govern its direction and spending for the next four years. On Bayfm with Lennty Benoit, Mayor Linda Chaisson says the the snowclearing budget for 2025 is being “burned” and could lead into 2026.
Chaisson says weekends have been brutal on the budget for snow clearing but safety is priority. New this year, salt and sand is being weighed before leaving the yard to determine actual usage at the end of the season.
