Corner Brook Mayor is concerned about lack of provincial-federal agreement for infrastructure funding

  Last week, parent company Kruger announced the shutdown due to critically low water levels at the Grand Lake reservoir, which is used to generate electricity at Deer Lake Power to source newsprint production.

• Corner Brook moving to cashless, pay-by-plate parking systems, no more coin operated meters

  Todd Flynn is the  city’s Director of Protective Services. He says there are 150 parking meters in the downtown area and over the past year, many of them have been destroyed in an attempt to get the money out.
