The parade will start at 4 p.m. and will leave from the Sir Richard Squires building.
The annual Kinsmen Club of Corner Brook Santa Claus Parade is traditionally held the first Saturday in December, and this year, it will take place December 6th. Kin Jason Tarbett says there are changes this year, the parade will start at 4 p.m. and will leave from the Sir Richard Squires building. He says they decided to move the start from Cpl Pinksen-University Drive exit due to the new hospital and high traffic in the area.
Floats will line up at 2 o’clock on the rear part of Sir Richard Squires and this year’s sensory free zone will be at the start and end just before the bridge at Margaret Bowater Park. Kin Keith Hobbs says parking will not be available.
The theme for this year’s Santa Claus Parade is “Christmas through the eyes of children.” It was submitted by Mr. Riley’s grade six class at Immaculate Heart of Mary, who will get a pizza party and a special invite to be Santa’s little elves during the parade.
