The Corner Brook fire department has a new firefighter…..who came all the way from Ukraine. Stanislav spoke to reporters today with the help of a translator. He served as a firefighter in Ukraine for more than 14 years and spent a month training here, mostly on cars. Stanislav says he and his family really like Corner Brook. He says he wanted to become a firefighter because it is a very noble cause to be able to save people.
