Costs resulting from this amendment will be recovered from the Contractor as part of the construction contract.
Corner Brook city hall approved an amendment at this week’s public meeting that deals with the Deep Gulch Culvert project. This was in the amount of more than $214K but as Councillor Vaughn Granter tells us, the contractor will have to pay. The Deep Gulch Culvert project has exceeded its scheduled completion date of November 8, 2024. As such, this PCA Amendment is necessary to provide additional contract administration and resident services for the consultant to account for the extended contract timeline. Costs resulting from this amendment will be recovered from the Contractor as part of the construction contract. The city’s assistant Director of Engineering, Aaron O’Brien says the project should be complete this summer. Previous Change Orders came in at a cost of just over $21K.
