Corner Brook city council approved a couple of new home based businesses at this week’s public meeting, one for floral design and wedding/event planning and the other making baked goods and smoked meat/fish to be delivered to customers. Councillor Sherry Dean asked about guidelines around quality assurance when food is prepared in a home based business and sold. The city’s Director of Protective Services, Todd Flynn, says it’s up to ServiceNL. That business will be located on Glen Haven Boulevard and the wedding business is on Dunfield Place.
