Recently, a misconduct investigation was conducted by the Anglican’s own Safe Church Officer, Jack Walsworth, outlined serious findings of misconduct.

A Corner Brook woman says she can’t go back to her church until Bishop John Organ is gone. Elaine Watton was baptized in Saint John the Evangelist Anglican church in 1942, her parents and grandparents were also Anglican. The Bishop fired Kay Short and explained it during a Sunday sermon at the church in January. Recently, a misconduct investigation was conducted by the Anglican’s own Safe Church Officer, Jack Walsworth. The 129-page report involved thousands of hours of interviews, outlined serious findings of misconduct. It recommended the reinstatement of Short, which was due to happen by June 30th. Organ was ordered to take a leave until his retirement in October but that he is still there at the church. Bishop Organ has not returned any requests for a phone interview with Bayfm News.

Meanwhile, the daughter of Kay Short, spoke out on facebook recently. Michelle Greensides says the Bishop was wrong and he bullied her mother. She says the Archbishop recommended Organ leave now before his retirement but now says he can’t enforce the recommendations. A group of parishioners have united against the Bishop, demanding he resign right away.
