It will be quite a party in Deer Lake tomorrow as the Deer Lake Red Wings celebrate their recent win of the Herder Memorial Championship. Team Captain Stephen Simms says it’s nice bringing the trophy back home after twenty years. The Red Wings won in a sweep against the Clarenville Caribous 4-0 and Simms says they take pride in their defense. Mayor Mike Goosney says there will be a parade in Deer Lake tomorrow to give people the chance to say hello to their favourite team. The Herder trophy will also be on display during tomorrow’s event which gets underway at the Hodder at 3 p.m. Go Red Wings!!
