Busy 24 hours for St. John's RNC

    A 28-year old woman with assault and overcoming resistance (choking) after an incident at a home in the east end of the capital city.

    A 37-year old man was arrested  after refusing a drug test during the supper hour yesterday. RNC were called to a potential impaired driver in the area of Route 60 in CBS. Police located the vehicle parked at a nearby business and the man has been charged with impaired driving, refusal of a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation, and breach of a court order. He was also issued tickets for driving with a suspended driver’s license and operating an unregistered vehicle. 

    Around 5:30pm police were called to a disturbance at a home in the east end of St. John’s. They found an injured man and charged a 28-year old woman with assault and overcoming resistance (choking). Then, at 2:40 this morning, police were called to a weapons incident at another east end home. RNC had a brief interaction with the man before running out the back door. The police  K-9 unit found the man hiding in the backyard of a nearby property.
