Bernice Buckle is the longest standing member of the Corner Brook Winter Carnival. She says her husband Lew was also involved in carnival and noticed how the torch wouldn’t stand properly. So, she says he built one in 1980 and today, it’s the oldest piece of history used during Winter Carnival. Buckle says for more than fifty years now, she enjoys being involved with winter carnival.
