Geiger says she decided to run as a way to show her children how to lead by example.

As Bayfm continues our daily features this week about candidates in the riding of Long Range Mountains, today we focus on Pamela Geiger Geiger lives in Cox’s Cove and is running under the People’s Party of Canada. She decided to run as a way to show her children how to lead by example. Geiger says when something is not right in a democratic country, we need people to step up and there’s  more to life than sitting in a negative pool of complaining.

Geiger volunteered for the PPC before deciding to be a candidate in the upcoming federal election. She says people are telling her it’s time for change and people are sick of the woke ideologies and mentalities.

Geiger says her values are in line with the party platform of personal freedom, limited government and a rejection of bureaucratic overreach. She says one thing she hears a lot from people in the riding is concern about immigration, Geiger says she noticed how much immigration is impacting this province when she flew home last summer.

Furthermore, Geiger says there are issues in the fishery and it needs better management. She understands the issues first hand as she comes from a family of fishers.
