Not much can beat a good feed of moose, but if you add some local entertainment, by Brad Turner, a desert auction and a chance to help a vital community organization, you’re getting more than a bargain. The Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue will be hosting a fundraising moose dinner on November 15th at the Blow me Down Ski Lodge. Steven Decker joined the team about 14 years ago and is the assistant coordinator. He says their moose dinner had been an annual event that stalled after the COVID pandemic and people are familiar with the food at Blow Me Down ski lodge. Decker says the team here is made up of a large combination of skills and backgrounds with about 50 members.
