Bay of Islands and Humber Valley schools to be closed Thursday morning

NL Schools made the announcement Wednesday evening.

NL Schools have made a decision to close schools in the Corner Brook and Humber Valley areas ahead of forecasted weather on Thursday.

The following schools will be closed for the morning on Thursday, March 12, with a further update at 10:30 am regarding afternoon classes.

All Deer Lake schools
All Pasadena schools
All Corner Brook schools
Templeton Academy
St. Peter's Academy
St. James All Grade

Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Corner Brook has also announced it will be closed for the entire day.

Corner Brook to launch evening and weekend on-demand transit service April 1st

At last night’s public meeting, council approved a change order for transit to allow the extended service hours for Monday to Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., as well as Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
