Atlantic Salmon Federation is helping to tag fish with DFO

    The information collected will be used by DFO to determine where the fish go and be able to monitor the water temperature.

    The Atlantic Salmon Federation is partnering with various organizations throughout the province to address climate change. Don Ivany says one partner is the Freshwater Alexander Bay Ecosystem Corporation who have been working on the Terra Nova River in central. He just got back to the Bay of Islands after tagging fish. Ivany says the program is ongoing and DFO is the lead agency when it comes to tagging the fish. He says the information collected will be used by DFO to determine where the fish go and be able to monitor the water temperature.
