Arctic Cat will continue to monitor conditions, but says production of future model years will depend on the outcome of Textron’s evaluation. Meanwhile, in June of 2023, Yamaha Motor announced an eventual withdrawal from the snowmobile business. After releasing their first snowmobile in 1968, Yamaha concluded it will be difficult to continue a sustainable business in the snowmobile market.
