Tomorrow will be the beginning of “Try it Days” at the Annex with a fitness class at 3 p.m.
It’s a day the town of Deer Lake has been waiting for; time to activate the new annex. There will be an open house starting from 4 to 7 p.m. for anyone who would like to check it out. Councillor Brett Langdon says it was tough to get this new gymnasium with meeting spaces during the Covid pandemic. He says the total project cost is $9 million. Langdon says they’re trying to diversify into new sports and provide meeting spaces for conferences. Tomorrow will be the beginning of “Try it Days” at the Annex with a fitness class at 3 p.m. Former Premier and MHA Andrew Furey will be there at that time for the official ribbon cutting.
