An Ontario man is in police custody after shooting and killing another man in Little Burnt Bay last night

    A man in his thirties is dead.  The deceased and the arrested individual were known to one another.

    A fifty-seven-year-old man from Ontario was arrested last night (June 2nd) after a shooting death at a home in Little Burnt Bay. He remains in custody at this time. Lewisporte RCMP were informed of the shooting around 9:15 p.m. at a home on Maple Street in Little Burnt Bay.  A man in his thirties is dead.  The deceased and the arrested individual were known to one another. RCMP Major Crimes Unit and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are involved in the investiga tion.  Residents of Little Burnt Bay can expect to see an increased police presence in the community as the investigation continues.  There is no current risk to public safety.
