For some residents on garbage collection day, it’s always a familiar question, “where does an item go, blue bag or clear.?” About 2,000 users in the Corner Brook area are finding it helpful to have this information at their fingertips, through the use of a new app. Lynn Howse is with Western Regional Waste Management. She says the “Waste Wizard” is easy to download.
Howse says if it doesn’t belong in a bag, the app will tell you where to bring it at the transfer station. She says the app can also be used to make payments and track usage. Howse says they’re hoping to double the number of app users which will also include a garbage collection schedule soon.
