Bay St. George RCMP were called out to a single-vehicle crash involving a transport truck Tuesday evening. Police say it happened shortly before 6 p.m.on the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) west of the St. George’s turnoff. A transport truck had left the highway and came to rest on the shoulder of the road. RCMP say the two occupants were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries. The highway was impassable for a few hours as clean-up crews dealt with a large fuel leak.
