An 82-year old man is dead after a two vehicle collision on the Trans Canada Highway, just west of Jack’s Pond Park. RCMP were called to the scene approximately 9:15 a.m. this morning (October 9thh.) after getting a report of the crash between a passenger car and a pickup truck. The man was the driver of the car and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passenger was transported to hospital with serious injuries, potentially life-threatening injuries.
As a precaution, the driver of the pickup was also transported to hospital for assessment. The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
