51 year old man arrested for impaired driving after a crash near Port Saunders

    The driver, a Port au Choix man, was assessed by emergency medical services at the scene and showed signs of alcohol impairment.

    A 51-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after a crash near Port Saunders on December 22nd. RCMP were called to Route 430 around 6:30 that morning. The driver, a Port au Choix man, was assessed by emergency medical services at the scene and showed signs of alcohol impairment. Later, at the detachment the man’s breath samples were above the legal limit. His vehicle was seized and impounded, his license suspended, and he is set to appear in court at a later date to answer to charges of impaired driving.
