42-year-old Robert Charles Park was arrested without incident and is facing charges of robbery with weapon, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and disguised with intent to commit an offence.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested after an armed robbery at a gas station in Stephenville early Friday morning. Bay St. George RCMP got a call around 2.a.m. from the Main Street business in Stephenville. Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says the suspect had left the scene with cigarettes and cash. A masked man, armed with a knife, entered the store, threatened the employee and demanded cigarettes and cash. He fled the scene with several packages of cigarettes and cash from the register.
An investigation at the scene identified the suspect, Police Dog Services (PDS) tried to track him down but could not and an arrest warrant was issued.
