Executive Director Suzanne Carey says 6 west coast communities have their own trees and in Corner Brook, the tree is located across from the donor wall at the new hospital.
It’s always a beautiful start to what can be a very tough season for some. That’s how the executive director of the Western Regional Hospital Foundation feels about the annual Tree of Memories. Suzanne Carey tells Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit this long standing tradition has been on the go for 32 years now and 6 west coast communities have their own trees. Carey says it’s an opportunity to support a great cause that helps a lot of people and the tree is located across from the donor wall at the new hospital. Carey says everyone is invited to the tree lighting 7 o’clock this Wednesday at Remembrance Square. The Salvation Army band will be there with Mike Payne leading everyone into Christmas carols, followed by a service at First United church next door.
