Twenty-six-year-old Bobby Sheppard has been arrested after an armed robbery at the Irving Big Stop in Deer Lake. RCMP say shortly after 3:00 a.m. yesterday, an employee at the location activated an alarm. Police say the robbery happened inside a parked vehicle when Sheppard allegedly held the driver at knifepoint, robbed the victim of personal property, slashed one of the vehicle’s tires and fled the area prior to police arrival. He was arrested without incident at a residence nearby.
