18th Annual Liefling Gala at Sacred Heart Elementary on Curling Street Sunday afternoon

The 51st Corner Brook Winter Carnival starts on Friday and one of the big events is the 18th Annual Liefling Gala at Sacred Heart Elementary on Curling Street, Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 . Dave Elms told BayFM's Lenny Benoit that he is looking for someone to join him in the winter carnival spirit.

The event is open to all children who attend primary and elementary grades in Corner Brook. The judges will be looking for an individual who is spirited, loves winter, people and Winter Carnival. Each participant will be required to create their own Viking outfit: sword, shield, helmet and costume. To register, call Sandra and Dave Elms at 709-632-6045. Deadline is 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb 16th.
