When a crew of about 60 people move into a small community, it can be a challenge to find a place to stay and eat. A salvage team with Resolve Marine has been in Lark Harbour working on the removal of the grounded MSC Baltic III since the end of May. A camp has been set up and new food establishments opened in the area. Mara Duvernois is the Project Manager. She says the team wanted to give back to the community that has welcomed them. She says they visited St. James All Grade school in Lark Harbour and dropped off some sports equipment, supplies, and toys. The removal of the nearly 11K tonne vessel is over half complete with the metal sent to Newco Metals in Stephenville for recycling.
