K-12 students aren’t the only ones heading back to class tomorrow; post-secondary students are also returning to Corner Brook for studies this fall at Grenfell Campus, College of the North Atlantic and Academy Canada.
Carolyn Parsons is the Campus Registrar and Director of Student Services at Grenfell Campus. She says the energy on campus and getting geared up for new students is always an exciting time. Parsons says about 70 students showed up last week for Academic Prep Week. She also says for some students it’s a transition time from high school to post-secondary, and that there is a team of support at Grenfell who wants them to succeed, from Student Services to faculty to staff.
Meanwhile, the Student Aid office will offer extended hours of operations until Friday, September 11 for students who are returning to studies and applying for financial assistance. The office will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
